Windows shows only 4GB of RAM, but I have 8

Then there's not much we can do as we would be shooting in the dark, each BIOS has a different setup and set of options so.....??

Can you download CPU-Z and take screen shots of your memory banks so I can see what type of memory you have installed in your computer.

Okay what I did, I went into my BIOS[ Asus I thought] and changed DRAM xp1 to Disabled, and now it shoes 8GB of RAM

Britec,
Slot 2 and 4 were empty

go back into to bois change DRAM xp1 to Enable

that should fix your problem

I dont have that option, its Profile #1 [4GB RAM] or Disabled [8GB ram]

I think you're not understanding this properly. If you have a physical main memory of 4 GB, it should not be detected as 8 GB like I and Spark tried to explain

If for some reason, your memory space is identified as 8 GB or whatever except for 4 GB, that IS the problem, my friend

I would like you to reset your bios settings back to its default. It should be back to 4 gigs after the reset and that's how it should be
