Try some basic troubleshooting steps.
  • Try and "Re-seat LCD Cable Connector on the motherboard"
  • Try and "Wiggle LCD Cable" to see if you get any flicker or change of colour or colour disappears.
  • Apply small amount of pressure to the screen display and see if colours change or it disappears
Could be a bad cable or screen, try above first and if you get no joy, replace cable first...because its the cheapest and more then likely to be whats causing the issue.

Thankyou tim and compton. brian is there away to force the washed out screen in order to try all of your guys troubleshooting tips? cause like i said the washed out screen comes and goes at random times and it doesnt last long enough for me to plug the monitor into it. ive been trying to find out what triggers the washed out screen but nothing has really come to my attention
