I don't look at it as whats better, it comes down to a number of things.
  • Budget
  • Profit
  • What the customer wants
  • What the customer needs
Whats the point in giving a customer a machine way more than they need and doing yourself out of more profit? (ie i7 for web browsing and doing email?) Your in this game to run a business and make money. That said I would not make a crap computer to make maximum profit.

Rules to live by
  • Use quality parts ie: branded Corsair, Asus, MSI, etc etc.
  • Good customer service.
  • Good build quality.
  • Can you make a profit?
  • Give good support when and if needed.
just some basic idea's for you to think about.
