Fix Checking For Updates continuously Windows 7 , 8 , 8 1, 10: In this video we will be fixing the dreaded Windows update issue, it can be frustrating trying to fix Windows issues, so i thought it would make a great video to help you resolve your issue.
1. ipconfig /flushdns
2. Stop and Start Windows Update Service.
3. Open command prompt and type: net stop wuauserv
4. Navigate to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (delete everything in that folder)
5. Open command prompt and type: net start wuauserv
6a. KB3102810 Installing and searching for updates is slow and high CPU usage occurs in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
6b. KB3135445 Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: February 2016
6c. KB3138612 Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: March 2016
7. Try your Windows Update client and see if its working.

8a. Install KB3020369, Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems Windows 7 (64-bit version) and (32-bit version) April 2015 servicing stack update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
8b. Install KB3172605, July 2016 update rollup for Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit version)
9a. Run Windows Update Troubleshooter for Windows 8 or Windows 7
9b. Run Windows Update Troubleshooter for Windows 10
If your still having trouble, try this method and you should be 100% fix after this.
10. WSUS Offline Update
